Last year we were in rehearsal for The Merry Wives of Windsor, which contains the following exchange…

FALSTAFF
Simple of itself; I’ll no pullet-sperm in my brewage.
And one of the actors was all “Ew! Did they really do that?”
So I said, “Not only that… They used to put all sorts of stuff in their morning sack. Eggs, bread, sausage, vegetables. It was like an Elizabethan breakfast smoothie.”
And he totally believed me, because I have a degree in this shit.
